Sending a lab order

Open the patient record, click Lab Orders, and select the tests you need. Fill in any required details (fasting status, sample type, etc.) and click Submit. VetOS sends the order to the lab electronically.

When results come back

Results arrive electronically and VetOS attaches them to the correct patient automatically. You will see a notification, and the vet can review the results right from the patient chart.

If something does not match — for example, a result comes back for a patient name that is slightly different — VetOS flags it for you to review rather than guessing.
